The LifePro OTG Foundation mission is dedicated to providing and implementing a strategic, educational, life-management program that will empower both at-risk youth to avoid the "school-to-prison pipeline" and post-incarcerated adults to avoid the unjust nature of the "prison-industrial complex" in America.
When I first decided to take my work from the prison environment and create a program to use on the outside, I knew that I wanted to create something that would hopefully be both successful and sustainable well beyond my lifetime. Subsequently, a [Foundation For A Future] and hopefully a movement for progressive ideals toward criminal justice in America was founded. This nation has been burdened with systemic inequality and systemic racism for far too long. Our program helps individuals make cognitive adjustments in their lives to minimize the effects of these challenging realities.
The business model for our success here at the LifePro OTG Foundation is centered around our goal to reach as many individuals as possible with our program. The initialism OTG (On The Go) represents our model on how to implement our fifteen to eighteen hour educational program with a small group of six to eight participants. We intend to target and travel to specific areas in need by using a local agency or leader to identify and build each small group. Ideally, our program will be available, depending on our financial viability, to those in need anywhere in America.
My experiences in the prison where I worked for almost 14 years was very important to me. Before taking the job, I thought this population of Americans was somewhat expendable. I quickly learned, after I started working with them, that many are no different than anyone else when it comes to struggles that most human beings have with their personal well-being. The way in which people handle this struggle is what determines which side of the wall or razor-wired fence you could be living on for who knows how long.
I'm really excited to take this program that I developed and work with at-risk youth and post-incarcerated adults to assist them in making some serious changes in their lives. I feel very confident in what I do. However, I know you might be curious about how effective I was with these men in prison. I never had any negative responses in working with several hundred men of all ages, race, and walks of life. Below, I've provided you with some selected testimonials to view. I hope that these unprompted responses will give you a window into why our common sense approach, with regard to much needed life-change, has the potential to make a seismic shift in lowering the incarceration rate in America.
"Your accomplishments are for you to celebrate, not for others to judge."
